Takaoka City in Toyama has a 400-year history in the casting industry. In 1611, Maeda Toshinaga, the lord of the Kaga Domain, invited seven casters to Kanaya-machi town in Takaoka City and built five factories, marking the beginning of Takaoka copperware.
Since then we utilise the advanced casting techniques and traditional decorative methods that have evolved from this heritage.
